Nattokinase, the chemical in natto that triggers its effects, decreases the ability of blood to clot. This “thins the blood” and might protect against conditions caused by blood clots such as stroke, heart attack, and others… while of course aiding in rough workouts.
dl-phenylalanine is used for both its analgesic (pain-relieving) and anti-depressant properties. A recent study suggests dl-phenylalanine also improves the action of other painkillers.
